The TeamThe Design Team for Edgemont Highlands brings diverse experience to the project. Each team member has contributed significantly in carrying out the Mission Statement for the creation of Edgemont Highlands. Bonds ConstructionOur commitment to quality even extends to infrastructure. Bonds Construction has earned its reputation as the premier excavation and infrastructure contractor in the area for over 20 years. They play a crucial role in helping us tread on the land as lightly as possible and in careful revegetation. We are proud to have them as a partner in this venture. Creative ConspiracyCreative Conspiracy has worked with Tom Gorton and his team since 2004, developing the visual brand for Edgemont Highlands. Understanding intimately both the client’s needs and wishes for the image as well as the details of the project itself marked the beginning of their involvement in making the brand of Edgemont Highlands recognizable and unique to this development. Whether it be developing the logo, consulting on the signage, developing print collateral and advertising campaigns or simply brainstorming new ideas for the project, Creative Conspiracy’s involvement continues to be an integral part of the Edgemont team. Cottle Carr YawRich Carr of the nationally acclaimed firm Cottle Carr Yaw Architects has contributed to our visioning process and designed all of our initial homes and the Community Lodge. His architectural vision and direction have played a key role in defining the integration of architecture within the natural environment. Design Workshop, Inc.Jeff Zimmerman of the international firm Design Workshop, Inc., is the land planner for the project. His vision and talent in master planning, utilization of open space, careful road layout and sensitivity to the land’s natural features created the blueprint that is the very foundation of Edgemont Highlands. Linda Robinson Studio, Inc.Linda Robinson of Linda Robinson Studio, Inc., has overseen all aspects of preserving, enhancing and understanding the natural environment at Edgemont Highlands. This has included cataloging over 150 native plants, naturally integrating our entry and other landscape features and consulting with us on our xeric landscaping guidelines. Mary Ellen LongMary Ellen Long, a long-time resident of Durango, is a nationally acclaimed artist. Her environmental art enhances, enriches and gives broader meaning to our trails and to the site’s natural features. Her focus is to invite and challenge community members with the opportunity of a heightened and more interactive relationship with the natural features of the site. Russell EngineeringMike Russell and his team at Durango’s Russell Engineering have turned Jeff Zimmerman’s land planning vision into on-site reality. Their attention to detail, onsite evaluation and oversight keep the project on course. |
